Perform a Full Mouth Rehabilitation efficiently, effectively and in a way that is practical, possible and profitable in general practice
The importance of the bite
Maintaining or giving your patient a new bite position is the foundation of rehabilitative work.
Don't learn the importance of the bite the hard (expensive) way!
During this module you will learn crucial techniques for maintaining the bite and several different ways to increase vertical dimension.
This course will give you the skills and understanding of workflow and principles that will allow you to do Full Mouth Rehab. You get to GO CRAZY on models with no patient repercussions or consequence.
You will finish hours and hours of live hands-on work and have a better understanding of how to prep a full arch of crowns and acrylic, and create a full arch of temporaries. You will be faster, more confident and enjoy your dentistry more.
In this course, our Educators will show you a step by step approach to a full arch of crowns.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation
Synopsis
Mastery of the first three modules brings the necessary skills required to achieve success in this most intensive and exciting module. Full mouth rehabilitation explores the numerous disciplines required by you to build the perfect full mouth rehabilitation that suits the patient’s needs.
Learners will master the step by step process of how to construct a full mouth rehabilitation, from consent to treatment, smile design, building temporaries, provisionals, mastering occlusion, and finally, implementation.
Outcomes
- You will be able to effectively communicate with your patient about the many aspects of a full mouth rehabilitation.
- You will master effective and efficient treatment planning, identify red flag patients, and manage, plan, open, and maintain the bite.
- You will be able to identify the full mouth rehabilitation danger zone, and design post-rehabilitation care to avoid disaster.
- You will feel confident in the multiple disciplines required to undertake the task of a full mouth rehabilitation.
- You will feel confident obtaining informed consent, and discussing finances, risk management, legal obligations, consent and money with your patients.
- You will confidently build temporaries, provisionals, and rehabilitate the full mouth.
Theory, Hands-on and Online Learning
- Case presentation - document and plan a case for full mouth rehabilitation. Building on everything you have learned up until this point, present a case that demonstrates your knowledge in planning, patient understanding, communication, material science, occlusion and preparation/bonding techniques in demonstrating this case.
- Planning and Communication - treatment planning, initial care, red flags, obvious traps in the planning of full mouth rehabilitations.
- Occlusion for the full mouth rehabilitation - managing, planning, opening, and maintaining the bite.
- Occlusion for the full mouth rehabilitation - the danger zone
- Occlusion for the full mouth rehabilitation - design and post rehab care to avoid disaster
- Case planning exercises - We will provide you multiple complex cases to plan using multi-disciplinary techniques. Once planned, an interactive class will discuss and debate the treatments covering multiple issues.
- Multidisciplinary treatment planning, treatment ordering, informed consent, finances.
- Risk management, legals and managing stress in yourself and in the patient
- Intense Hands-on - Prep full upper arch, maintain the bite, and make temporaries
- Intense Hands-on - Prep lower arch, maintain the bite, and make temporaries
- Pre theory exercise - Free hand build up of upper arch in wear case to learn the occlusion techniques, and anatomy of rehabilitation.
- Prepping a full arch cases, maintaining tissue control and getting perfect full arch impression or scans and impressions
- Step by step presentation covering the creation of perfect provisionals.
- Case presentation document and present the creation of full arch provisionals on a patient
- Cementation and bonding techniques for the full arch insertion. This will cover isolation, tissue control, moisture control, verification, fit checking, problem solving, and checking of all details around inserting full arch cases.
- Minimal intervention techniques for use in full arch rehabilitations. When to favour the tooth. When to favour the restoration. This presentation will cover decision making and fundamentals of deciding how to make cases more minimally invasive and when it might not be appropriate.
- Case presentation FMR - one full mouth indirect rehabilitations
- Presentation - to class and critique of one full mouth rehabilitation The entire class will present a full mouth rehabilitation including all aspects of planning, communication, planning, preparation, impressions, lab communications, verification, insertion and final adjustments and control photos. The entire class will be involved in critique and debating techniques and approaches.
- Final exam and graduation!

Assessment for the Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry
Assessment points that can be obtained for Full Mouth Rehabilitation module is 300 Points.
Assessment points are weighted by the amount of time required to complete the class/segment.
Assessment points are awarded for completing tasks, exercises, case presentation or by the standard achieved.
The Fellowship will be awarded to learners who gained more than 700 points out of 1000.
